The easiest sale is a repeat sale. Our economies are still experiencing some tough conditions so it is important to work smart and not hard. It is far easier to obtain a sale from a customer who has an account with you, has bought from you before and knows who you are, after all you have already done all the hard work in getting them to place the initial order. A good strategy is to provide an incentive for them to place their second order when they place their first. An example might be free shipping, free installation, 5% off the 2nd order or a gift with the second purchase.
With this kind of incentive you can send out the first order knowing that you (a) have a good chance of getting a second order, and (b) you have an added reason to call them and push them to take advantage of the second order.
