A team of 6-8 people always works best. Any more and the dominant personalities take over, any less and there is a lack of atmosphere and results.
Keep your meetings to 1 to 1.25 hours long. This ensures people are concise with their content and valuable selling time is not wasted. Each month you need to allocate a leader, the leader should change each month to let the group benefit from different leadership styles and it allows each person to experience leadership.
The leader needs to choose a topic for the meeting, email the agenda and appoint a scribe. The scribes responsibility is to take detailed notes from the meeting and report these to the group within 24-48 hours of the meeting.
To be successful the meetings need to be:
- On an appropriate topic
- Organised and to the point
- Within the agreed time frame
